mrfisher.gif - 40.4 K       The Spartanburg Public Safety Department serves a critical and important role in the safety and quality of life in our community. It's importance cannot be overemphasized. The comprehensive foundation of the Public Safety Department incorporates the ideas of the City of Spartanburg's "Share the Vision" process. As this process evolves, Public Safety's Mission, Vision and Values are critical to the health and vitality of the City. Our success will help to create a dynamic city image and assist in forging prosperity for all citizens of Spartanburg.
The department's Mission, Vision and Values reflect and emphasize a value driven, department-wide philosophy, to include other city departments, community agencies, neighborhood organizations, youth prevention initiatives and other criminal justice agencies. While we are primarily responsible for the safety of every citizen and visitor to our city, the success of the Public Safety Department depends on our ability to create relationships with others, the trust that others have in us and the integrity of how we do our job. Our performance will be measured by the absence of crime, enhanced quality of life, fire protection through prevention, education and availability to the citizens we serve.
