GIS/Crime Analysis The GIS/Crime Analysis Unit is responsible for statistical research and crime analysis for the City of Spartanburg. The goal of the unit is to provide timely and accurate crime and intelligence analysis information to all operational and administrative personnel of the department. The Crime Analysis Unit’s functions and capabilities include maintaining extensive databases of information, advanced reporting analysis, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis.
