Crime Prevention

It is the responsibility of the Crime Prevention division to be a liaison between citizens of the City of Spartanburg and the Public Safety Department.  We accomplish this task with a variety of programs such as our local TV show Safety Scene, the G.R.E.A.T. program, Officer Friendly, Explorers, Neighborhood Watch Meetings and Kid Identification.  It is our desire to develop partnerships within our community that continue to nurture positive working relationships.  By educating the community on crime prevention techniques, and by getting citizens involved in crime prevention activities such as neighborhood watch, we can reduce the number of crimes and increase the quality of life for everyone.
