The Spartanburg Public Safety Department has an Office of Domestic Violence
to assist with all cases of domestic violence which occur in the City of
Spartanburg. This office consists of an Investigator who conducts follow-up
investigations and a Victim Specialist who provides crisis counseling,
accompaniment and transportation to and from court hearings, and referrals to
community agencies for professional counseling, support groups,
medical/financial aid and shelter. The efforts are aimed at breaking the cycle
of violence in the City of Spartanburg.
